Job Description

Youll support roadway construction inspection through safety adherence, daily reporting, quality checks, contractor oversight, and compliance with contract and wage requirements. We are seeking an Office Engineer to join our Redmond, WA team! Come join us!

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide independent review and assessment of applicable deliverables during construction.
  • Document reviews in published assessment reports.
  • Review and perform field or office activities to evaluate and assess compliance with approved technical requirements or restrictions.
  • Assist field staff with document support and ensure document control compliance.

Evaluate and research the following:

  • Release for Construction (RFC) documents
  • Smartsheet ROM (Record of Materials) tracking
  • Inspection and test plans and procedures
  • IDR (Inspector's Daily Report) review and processing
  • Construction-phase submittals review (e.g., shop drawings, product data, samples, installer qualification statements, manufacturers instructions, source and field quality control submittals)
  • Test and acceptance plans and procedures

Other tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform independent Validation and Verification (IV&V) during construction activities, including independent inspections and independent sampling and testing.
  • Prepare progress reports and assessment reports.
  • Verify as-built drawings.
  • Evaluate technical submittals.
  • Ensure inspection plans and procedures meet Technical Contract Requirements.
  • Verify construction items for conformance to RFC drawings and specifications.
  • Interface with various team members.
  • Assist the project engineer with preparing reports, analysis presentations, audit research, gap analyses, fit-for-service analyses, and related deliverables.

Youll thrive here if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or similar, preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design
  • Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to write technical report
  • Web based storage systems
  • Thorough understanding of document control systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of QC/QA, Materials Engineering, and constructions activities preferred.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the states law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
