Astemo Rock Spring, Inc. was established in 2000 and supplies aluminum knuckles to Honda and Subaru.  We are in Rock Spring, GA, and operate on 3 shifts with 400 employees.  We have three main manufacturing departments, Casting, Machining, and Press Assembly.  We are part of Astemo, Inc. with 90,000 employees worldwide.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • This position provides general administrative support for the Astemo Rock Spring office.
  • She/he will assist in ensuring that all administrative tasks are organized and completed on an as needed basis
  • will assist in the day-to-day administrative functions and the delivery of a wide variety of programs within the office.
  • A high degree of initiative and ability to achieve results is expected, as is the ability to work efficiently in a diverse and collaborative working environment.

When accomplishing tasks, remember to work toward meeting overall company goals established which include, OSHA safety compliance, ISO 14001 Environmental Compliance, Ethical & Legal compliance, Customer Quality, Production to Plan, and Delivery Performance.

Safety & Environmental:     

  • Promotes a Safety-First Attitude and provides safe work environment by following all required corporate safety policies and OSHA regulations which may or may not include Personal Protective Equipment, Chemicals, Fall Protection, Fire Protection, Incident reporting, Hearing conservation, and others.

Quality:

  • Creates necessary documents (work instructions) to help aid with training for finance department activity.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping

Delivery:

  • Responsible for following all direction given by site and regional management on all projects

Productivity:

  • Fulfilling tasks assigned by a supervisor
  • Provide substantial administrative support
  • Performing clerical duties
  • Job shadowing
  • Learning technical skills related to the industry
  • Uses time management skills to organize, prioritize and delegate multiple projects to meet project deadlines

Reporting:

  • Task Completion/Update Reporting
  • Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly Standard Reporting

Preferred Skills:  

  • Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Glovia /Leading to Lean
  • Use of office equipment
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build friendly work relationships
  • Strong leadership skills

Minimum Experienced Preferred: 

  • No previous experience required
  • Experience in an office environment preferred

Minimum Education Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Some College (Degree in relation to Production Country/Logistics Preferred)

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, talk, & hear for up to 8 hours. 
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs repetitively if necessary.
  • Must be able to obtain a fork lift certification.
