Role Description:

\n

The Office Intern position is part-time, on-site role based at WinStar Farm LLC in Versailles, KY outside the Lexington, KY area. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain experience in the Thoroughbred industry while supporting multiple areas of farm operations. Responsibilities include assisting with and leading guided tours, greeting visitors, providing information about the farm's history, programs, and the Thoroughbred breeding and racing industry, and ensuring an engaging and welcoming guest experience.

In addition to tour operations, interns will gain exposure to various departments across the farm, including Retail and Merchandise, Office Administration, Bloodstock, Accounting and Human Resources, Equine Operations, and Special Events.

The role offers valuable insight into the business and operational aspects of a world-class Thoroughbred farm while providing opportunities to develop professional skills, industry knowledge, and cross-functional experience. Ideal candidates will be eager to learn, adaptable, professional, and passionate about the equine industry.

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the farm for extended periods and work in varying outdoor weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program, preferably in Equine Science, Animal Science, Agriculture, Business, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
• \n
• Knowledge of Thoroughbred breeding, racing, and Kentucky's equine industry.
• \n
• The ideal candidate is passionate about the Thoroughbred industry, eager to learn, adaptable, and excited to gain hands-on experience while contributing to a positive guest experience and supporting the operations of a world-class horse farm.
