Position Summary


The Office Manager will play a key leadership role in the daily operations of our agency. The successful candidate will possess strong insurance knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to mentor and support staff while ensuring efficient agency workflows and exceptional customer service.


Qualifications

Active New York State Property & Casualty Insurance License required

Minimum of 5 years of insurance agency experience

Prior management or supervisory experience preferred

Strong understanding of personal and commercial insurance operations

Thorough knowledge of carrier submission procedures, underwriting requirements, and policy processing

Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

Strong verbal and written communication abilities

Ability to lead, coach, and mentor team members

Proficiency with agency management systems and Microsoft Office applications

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day operations of the agency office

Supervise and support customer service and administrative staff

Train, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence

Monitor workflows to ensure timely processing of submissions, endorsements, renewals, certificates, and policy servicing

Review insurance applications and submissions for accuracy and completeness before carrier submission

Maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriters

Assist in developing and implementing agency procedures and best practices

Ensure compliance with agency standards, carrier requirements, and regulatory guidelines

Support management in achieving service, retention, and growth objectives

Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative office culture

Salary Range: $80000.00 - $100000.00 per year

New York State Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Knowledge of Personal lines and Commercial lines, does not have to be an expert in either line of business just needs to understand the concepts

Worked in the field of insurance either company or agency side

Three or more years of experience managing an independent insurance office.

Familiar with Agency CMS systems

Clear, empathetic communication skills when dealing with clients and staff.

Strong organizational abilities to manage daily agency operations effectively.

Knowledge of carrier portals and submission processes.
