Job Summary

The Office Manager is responsible for areas pertaining to the customer service experience of Residential Life Operations. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Residential Life, the Office Manager is responsible for all front office activities, engagements, and interactions. The Office Manager will assist in the daily operations of the Residential Life Department.

The Office Manager is a vital member of the department and is expected to work with the Residential Life professional staff, maintenance and cleaning crews, other departmental and university staff, and off-campus representatives. Collaboration throughout the Department and campus community is vital to the success of this position. The Office Manager must be committed to working within an innovative environment that is focused on the education of individuals and groups of college students within a residential setting.

Duties and Responsibilities

Basic functions necessary for the position in the area of communications include the ability to: (1) read reports, gather and analyze data and compile information for written reports; (2) prepare written

memorandums and documents and compile the numerous forms needed in the daily operation; and (3) communicate effectively, both orally and written, with residents, parents, visitors, faculty, and staff.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelors degree, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, & Powerpoint) know-how, and 2-3 years of experience working in customer service is required. Ellucian Banner know-how and customer service experience in higher education is preferred.
