Job Description:
Dress Code: Business casual. No shorts, jeans, T-shirts, or tennis shoes. Closed toed shoes must be worn for safety.
Driving: No driving required, but they will need to provide their own transportation to the job site.
Interview Type: Virtual (on camera) and in-person.

The candidate will be responsible for the full operations of the HQ mailroom, with assistance and supervision from two other Full-Time Employees who work primarily in the building next door but are available to help as needed.

Duties include:
Receiving, tracking, and delivering inbound US Government Client mail, packages, and small freight deliveries.
Inserting, metering, tracking volumes of, and sending out US Government Client mail via courier.
Packaging, preparing shipment labels via UPS software, sending tracking information to users, and handing off packages to designated carriers.
Mail/package supply volume tracking and ordering.
Customer service: answering general mail and shipping questions through in-person, email, phone, or instant message communication.
Secure cash handling processes (only outbound checks).
Light Multi-Function Printer (MFP) troubleshooting like clearing paper jams, changing toner, ordering supplies, and requesting service if beyond our capability to resolve.
Utilizing Microsoft suite of software: Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel.
Document scanning on MFPs to end users, tracking scanning volume/time, and quality control on scanned items.
Communication with various vendors regarding outages, business holidays, early departures, etc.
Cleaning and upkeep of the mailroom.

This is a highly visible role. Executive staff and their assistants visit the space frequently and require aid. Candidate should be professional, courteous, upbeat, and comfortable communicating at that level. They need to be able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate fashion and able to switch gears as demand dictates. Currently this is set as a 6-month assignment into the beginning of January 2027. There is potential for this to be expanded to a year or possibly temp-to-hire. While the majority of the day may be desk work, there are times when they will have to stand extended times (30 minutess-1 hr) while using the inserters and postage machines. There are also multiple mail runs that require walking around the building to deliver mail and packages and packages can require lifting up to 50Lbs unassisted. No heavy equipment such as forklift or pallet jack;just the mail inserter, postage machine and MFPs.
