Position Overview
Join the Mt. Hood Meadows Public Safety team and play an important role in protecting one of Oregon's premier mountain resorts. As a Public Safety Officer, you'll help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our guests, employees, and property while working in the stunning setting of Mt. Hood. This entry-level position offers a unique blend of patrol responsibilities, emergency response, guest interaction, and operational support in a fast-paced mountain environment.
As a Public Safety Officer, you'll conduct safety rounds, respond to incidents and emergencies, assist Ski Patrol with medical transport, support loss prevention efforts, and collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when needed. You'll document incidents, help manage traffic and parking operations, assist with snow removal activities, and contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of resort operations. This role requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, exercise sound judgment, and adapt quickly to changing weather and operational conditions.
This is more than just a security position; it's an opportunity to be part of the team that helps keep Mt. Hood Meadows running safely each day. You'll play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and exceptional guest service while gaining valuable experience in public safety, emergency response, and mountain operations. If you thrive in an active, outdoor environment and are looking to build a foundation in public safety, law enforcement, or emergency services, we'd love to hear from you.
