What You Will Do

  • Remove finished foam products and production scrap from the Baumer cutting system.
  • Stage empty flats, containers, and material-handling equipment at the beginning of each shift.
  • Move finished products to the next manufacturing operation, inventory area, or shipping location.
  • Replace full scrap containers with empty containers to prevent production delays.
  • Accurately mark, stencil, tag, and label finished products.
  • Verify product identification before moving materials to support inventory accuracy and traceability.
  • Read and follow production orders, work instructions, product specifications, labels, and shipping documents.
  • Report damaged materials, labeling concerns, product discrepancies, and production issues to supervision.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Assist with other production and material-handling responsibilities as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, shipping, or material handling required; two or more years preferred.
  • Ability to read and follow production instructions and documentation.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to accurately use a tape measure and other basic measuring tools.
  • Experience with inventory control, quality standards, or production documentation is helpful.
  • Experience in foam, furniture, textile, or a related manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

This is an active manufacturing position that requires the ability to:

  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Move heavier materials using approved equipment or team-lifting methods.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Regularly bend, twist, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
  • Work around moving machinery, conveyors, dust, noise, and temperature variations.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment.
