Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than 50 countries and employs about 30,000 people from over 130 nationalities.Position PurposeAs an Offshore Methods Engineer, you will report to the Installation Offshore Methods Lead and join the Engineering function within the Asset Based Business Line. You will support Saipem's ongoing EPCI projects in the Americas by contributing to installation engineering activities and coordinating interfaces with installation, fabrication, and subcontract procurement teams. Experience in installation engineering of flexible and umbilical products is highly valued.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in project progress meetings, engineering coordination meetings, interface meetings with client, contractors and subcontractors, technical review meetings, HSE meetings, and risk assessment.Issue, update and follow up procedures and documents related to the scope.Develop installation engineering studies and provide input for installation activities presentations.Follow up drafting activities related to the scope.Initiate and specify equipment, installation aids and material requirements, and provide or review associated documentation.Review contract, qualifications, clarifications and specifications for Saipem and interfaces.Design required lift rigging.Prepare project operation reports.Provide technical support for presentations related to the scope.Report regularly to the Lead (progress, deviation, issues and concerns).Update weekly the Installation Engineering Master Document Register.Manage drafting priorities to comply with MDR milestones.Issue time estimates, detailed operation schedules, and transportation schedules for the scope.Issue, update and follow up the system description table for the scope.Ensure equipment, installation aids and material requirements are transmitted through the turnaround file.Support spread & equipment engineering (drawings, SOP, layout).Review subcontractor technical documentation and provide input as required.Organize, gather and check data from subcontractors.Review manufacturer testing procedures and reports (FAT, SIT/OT), and provide input to SIT/OT procedures.Approve SIT/OT reports and integrate fabrication data book (QC report, certificates) into the installation aids data book.Manage and gather data for external interfaces.Review subcontractor/supplier testing procedures and reports, and provide input to SIT/OT procedures.Update and revise installation engineering drawings following supplier, manufacturer, and subcontractor documentations.Support technical bid evaluations, rigging and installation aids specifications.Onshore preparation: support check‑list completion, witness SIT/OT operations, assist load‑out final approval, act as point of contact for engineering and installation change support, participate in daily meetings and technical meetings, and provide engineering assistance between the construction yard and project engineering team.Ensure safety rules dedicated to the function are respected.Offshore operation: ensure availability of necessary engineering documentation, provide technical support for installation, support checklist completion, assist vessel management, modify on‑board procedures for operational reasons, present operations to the crew, support scope of work for each discipline (survey/position, ROV, marine, lifting), assist pre‑job meetings, attend project daily meetings, act as point of contact for engineering and installation change support, and collect info for lessons‑learnt.Collect all information required for Installation Engineering Lessons Learnt / Return of Experience.QualificationsMinimum undergraduate degree in engineering (structural, mechanical, civil, etc.).3–5 years of significant offshore oil and gas experience.Language RequirementsEnglish.BenefitsFull‑time permanent contract.Corporate benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, health & wellness benefits, and paid time off (PTO).Hybrid working model: smart working options and flexible hours.Opportunities for career growth, skill development, and innovation through complex challenges.Location: Houston, Texas.EEO StatementWe embrace diversity and are committed to equal opportunity employment.
