Description
The Medical Office Specialist offers clinical and medical office support to physicians and surgeons. Assists in patient care and administrative duties necessary to deliver quality patient care. Performs various duties as a member of the health team in the treatment and care of patient and their families and also assists with tasks to support the unit. Participates and supports the health team in the direct patient care under the supervision of an RN/LPN or MD.

Performs phlebotomy, point of care testing, and other procedures as indicated by
physician order, including but not limited to electrocardiogram, and assists with

medications and medical supplies disposing appropriately as per institution policy.

Greets and registers patients, prepares and processes appropriate forms, directs patients to
appropriate areas and arranges transportation needs.

Compensation
The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $32.9319 - $33.4652 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
