Cath Lab Tech Traveler (Days) Position Summary This is a 13-week traveler assignment for an experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a cardiac catheterization laboratory. Under the direction of the cardiologist or radiologist, the technologist assists with scrubbing procedures and monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data. The role supports all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures in an acute care setting.
Key Responsibilities - Assist physician with diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures including scrubbing and hemodynamic monitoring
- Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared prior to each case
- Monitor and maintain par levels of instruments and supplies
- Assist with all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures
- Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities
- Support training of new staff as needed
Qualifications - ARRT-R with Illinois Radiologic Technologist License and ARRT-CI (Cardiac Interventional) or ARRT-VI (Vascular Interventional), OR Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
- Illinois Fluoroscopy Permit
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Interventional Radiology department required
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Proficient computer skills
