Route Service Technician (FiltaFry) – Southern Indiana Territory
Vehicle Location: Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN (Must report here daily)
Pay: $15.00 – $25.00 per hour
Shift: Overnights (Standard) with Weekend Flexibility
The Opportunity
Are you looking for a role where you can work independently and stay active? We are looking for a reliable, hands-on Route Service Technician to join our FiltaFry team covering the Southern Indiana territory (including Mt. Vernon, Evansville, Newburgh, Jasper, Santa Claus, Princeton, English and surrounding areas).
Filta is the world leader in fryer management and cooking oil filtration. As a technician, you aren't just "cleaning", you are providing a specialized environmental service that helps commercial kitchens run safer and more sustainably. This is a mobile, route-based role where you'll be the face of the company at stadiums, restaurants, and hospitals throughout Southern Indiana.
The Setup (Owensboro & Southern Indiana)
- Vehicle Location: Our service vehicle(s) could be parked either in Owensboro, KY or Evansville, IN areas. You will begin and end your shift here daily to pick up and drop off the specialized service van or potentially be teamed up with another Sr technician performing the service at a large customer location within the territory.
- The Route: Once you have the vehicle, you will head across the river to service our partners throughout the Southern Indiana region that could potentially expand into KY.
- Ideal Commute: We find this role is a great fit for people living in Rockport, Newburgh, Henderson, or Tell City, as these locations provide an easy commute to the van in Owensboro and quick access to the Indiana route.
What You Will Do
- Mobile Service Delivery: Operate a specialized service van and or equipment to visit commercial kitchens on a set route.
- Environmental Filtration: Use our proprietary micro-filtration system to filter cooking oil, clean deep fryers, and provide vacuum-based pit cleaning.
- Independent Management: Manage your own pace and route, ensuring every client receives top-tier service while maintaining detailed service logs on a mobile device.
- Safety & Quality: Responsible for the safe handling of equipment and hot oil, ensuring every kitchen is left in "inspection-ready" condition.
What You Bring
- Night Owl Mentality: This is primarily an overnight role, so you must be dependable and comfortable working while the rest of the world is asleep. As we expand, additional shifts are a possibility so flexibility in schedule is a plus to meet the needs of our customers.
- Weekend Flexibility: We need someone with the flexibility to work weekends as part of their regular schedule.
- Clean Driving Record: A valid driver's license and a clean driving history are required.
- Physical Stamina: You should be comfortable with heavy lifting, bending, and working in fast-paced commercial kitchen environments.
- Background: Experience in route driving, warehouse operations, or general maintenance is a huge plus.
The Rewards
- Competitive Pay: $15 – $25 per hour dependant upon experience and abilities to self perform and manage the van/equipment as a self starter.
- Independence: No micromanagement. Once you're trained and on your route, you are the boss of your van. Other less qualified or experienced personnel will be led by the owner or more senior technician.
