Oil Filtration Operator-3rd Shift

Summary

The Oil Filtration Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting an advanced industrial oil filtration system to ensure the safe and efficient handling, purification, and distribution of cooking oils. This role supports production operations by maintaining equipment, performing sanitation tasks, ensuring food safety compliance, and accurately documenting completed work.

Functions Of the Position

• Operate and troubleshoot the oil filtration system and safely utilize Cold Jet cleaning equipment.

• Lead roaster filling activities with the appropriate oil for upcoming production needs.

• Communicate filtration issues and concerns involving specialty and regular cooking oils to supervision.

• Unload bulk oil tankers and inspect incoming oil shipments for quality, safety, and GMP compliance concerns, including contamination, foreign materials, and equipment integrity.

• Operate various production and material handling equipment, including:

• High-pressure washers

• Wash cabinets

• Cop tanks

• Walkers and walker stackers

• Electric pallet jacks

• Scissor lifts

• Stand-up and sit-down forklifts

• Support production operations through the purification, filtration, and sanitation of used cooking oil.

• Utilize cleaning and sanitation tools such as brooms, brushes, spray bottles, mops, squeegees, water guns, air guns, and vacuums.

• Maintain accurate logs and records of completed tasks and production activities.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and production-ready at the end of each shift.

• Follow all food safety, quality, regulatory, and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing, food production, or sanitation environment preferred.

Certifications

• Certification and experience operating power riders, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up forklifts required.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and good manual dexterity.
• Ability to work safely at heights up to 40 feet.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
