Description

The Bereavement Specialist will be responsible for the overall direction of bereavement services for OLP's Residential and Community Hospice. Key responsibilities include:. Responsible for planning, coordinating and providing bereavement services tohospice patients' families and loved ones(family of origin and family of choice)..Offers anticipatory grief support,. Conducts bereavement assessments, provides grief education, counseling, andemotional support . Facilitates support groups and memorial events. Coordinates volunteers as applicable. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to navigate loss and healthy grievingbefore and after a patient's death.. Provides help in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patientand family/caregiver care to personnel as indicated.. Assists in hiring, onboarding and ongoing support to the bereavement department.. Assists with the evaluation of organization performance via performanceimprovement program, productivity, quarterly and annual reviews. Assures for thequality and safe delivery of hospice services provided through the Organization..Assists with development, and organization policies and procedures.. Stays informed about changes in the field of bereavement and hospice care and requirements.. Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed. This position is:. 24-28 hours per week. $30.00-$35.00 per hour . benefit-eligible
