OMAX - Waterjet Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Waterjet Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating machinery to cut materials according to specifications. They would be familiar with OMAX waterjet machines, bonus if it is aMAXIEM

2040 Jet Machining Center.

Essential Functions

1. Operate water jet cutting machine to produce precision cut parts according to specifications

2. Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery for optimal performance

3. Inspect finished products for quality control and adjust settings as necessary

4. Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate cuts

5. Perform routine maintenance on machinery, including cleaning and lubrication

6. Set up the waterjet machine, making adjustments for each job

7. Set stops or guides to specified lengths

8. Operate the machine, keeping an eye out for any defects or issues

9. Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy

Requirements

• Proven experience in machining or fabrication roles is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
