JOB TITLE: OMNICHANNEL MARKETING INTERNSHIP
LOCATION: BAKERSFIELD AREA
REPORTS TO: DEPARTMENT MANAGER
PURPOSE:
The Omnichannel Marketing Internship is designed to provide undergraduate, post-graduate, and graduate-level students pursuing relevant fields of study with meaningful, hands-on experience supporting Omnichannel business activities. Interns will gain exposure to how customers, product, sales, and digital channels work together through day-to-day responsibilities, department-specific projects, data analysis, and professional development opportunities. The paid summer internship typically runs 10–12 weeks between May and August, with support available for students seeking college credit.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate, post-graduate, or graduate degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Agricultural Business, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment sponsorship.
- Interest in Omnichannel strategy, sales, marketing, e-commerce, customer experience, business operations, or the fresh produce/agriculture industry.
- Basic understanding of business, sales, marketing, customer service, or e-commerce principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets to organize information, identify trends, and assist with reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business priorities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Must have reliable transportation as needed to support internship responsibilities.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
- Ability to participate in the 10–12 week summer internship program, including Student Programs-sponsored professional development activities and intern events.
PREFERRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong interest in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Comfortable creating visually engaging content; experience with Canva strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and current social media trends.
- Basic copywriting and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable learning new marketing platforms and technology.
- Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals
- Familiarity with Google Analytics
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Support day-to-day Omnichannel activities and department projects while gaining exposure to the coordination of products, customers, sales channels, and business operations.
- Support reporting and tracking related to Omnichannel performance, customer activity, product movement, and other key business metrics.
- Assist with creating social media graphics, filming short-form videos, and other digital content.
- Help develop, schedule and publish content across brand social channels; assist with captions, community engagement, and content calendars.
- Assist with website updates, blog formatting, basic SEO optimization, image selection, and other web content needs.
- Assist with creator research, product shipments, content tracking, and organization of creator assets.
- Conduct market, customer, competitor, and industry research to identify trends and opportunities across traditional and digital channels.
- Support initiatives designed to improve the customer experience and strengthen consistency across multiple sales and communication channels.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to support Omnichannel initiatives and business needs.
- Assist with preparing reports, presentations, spreadsheets, and other materials used to communicate department performance, findings, and recommendations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting, data accuracy, efficiency, or the overall customer experience.
- Participate in department meetings and gain exposure to the planning and decision-making processes that support Omnichannel strategy and execution.
- Apply knowledge gained throughout the internship to a meaningful department-specific project, with the opportunity to present findings, results, or recommendations at the conclusion of the internship.
- Participate in Student Programs-sponsored professional development and intern events throughout the summer internship.
- Serve as a site representative for the annual Back-to-School Drive, supporting coordination and employee participation efforts.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
STARTING WAGE: $18.25 - $22.75 (dependent on college standing)
