Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
OMP Techno-Functional Solution Architect to lead the technical architecture and strategic evolution of our global supply chain planning platform.
This role requires a strong blend of
OMP technical expertise, supply chain functional knowledge, and solution architecture experience. The ideal candidate will design, configure, integrate, and optimize the
OMP Unison Planning Suite to support advanced supply chain planning, production scheduling, S&OP, and data-driven decision-making across a global enterprise.
The Solution Architect will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, supply chain planners, and technical teams by translating complex operational requirements into scalable, high-performing OMP solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSolution Architecture & Design- Design and architect scalable OMP solutions aligned with global supply chain strategies and business objectives.
- Translate complex supply chain requirements into technical solutions supporting capacity planning, multi-echelon inventory, demand planning, and production scheduling.
- Define optimization strategies using appropriate OMP solvers, heuristics, and custom optimization capabilities.
- Develop future-ready platform architectures that support business growth, new facilities, and evolving supply chain models.
OMP Configuration & Technical Development- Perform advanced configuration and customization within the OMP Unison Planning platform.
- Develop, review, and optimize OPAL scripts, macros, and custom user actions.
- Manage and optimize OMP data models, control tables, workbooks, and planning structures.
- Troubleshoot system performance issues, including memory optimization, calculation runtime improvements, and application tuning.
- Establish technical standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines for OMP implementations.
Data & Integration Architecture- Design and implement integration strategies between OMP and enterprise ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP PP/DS, MM, SD, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across master data and transactional data flows.
- Collaborate with data and integration teams to develop reliable end-to-end data pipelines.
- Optimize database performance using advanced SQL and data modeling techniques.
Leadership & Collaboration- Act as the primary technical liaison between supply chain business leaders, planning teams, and IT development teams.
- Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership throughout implementation and support phases.
- Lead design reviews, solution discussions, and technical workshops with stakeholders.
- Mentor implementation teams and ensure adherence to global OMP architecture standards.
Required QualificationsTechnical Experience- 8+ years of experience in supply chain technology implementations.
- 4+ years of experience serving as an OMP Lead Architect, Solution Architect, or Senior Technical Consultant on large-scale OMP environments.
- Strong expertise with OMP Unison Planning Suite including configuration, architecture, and optimization.
- Advanced knowledge of OPAL scripting, macros, and OMP customization.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in database optimization and performance tuning.
- Experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python or C++ is preferred.
Supply Chain & Functional Experience- Strong understanding of supply chain planning processes including:
- S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning)
- Demand Planning & Demand Sensing
- Finite Capacity Planning
- Production Scheduling
- Multi-Echelon Inventory Optimization
- Supply Planning
- Knowledge of APICS/ASCM supply chain principles preferred.
ERP & Integration Experience- Proven experience integrating OMP with enterprise ERP platforms such as:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP PP/DS
- SAP MM/SD
- Oracle ERP or similar systems
- Experience leading at least two full lifecycle global OMP implementations from blueprinting through deployment and hyper-care support.
Education- Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following areas preferred:
- Operations Research
- Industrial Engineering
- Computer Science
- Supply Chain Management
- Data Science / Quantitative Field
Preferred Skills- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical and optimization concepts to business stakeholders.
- Experience working in global supply chain transformation programs.
- Ability to operate independently in a remote environment while collaborating with distributed teams.
