On Call Banquet Server - Renaissance Framingham Hotel & Conference Center

Renaissance Framingham Hotel is in search of friendly and professional On Call Banquet Servers to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing smooth and efficient food service to guests during events.

Renaissance Framingham Hotel & Conference Center, a Colwen Hotels property, is a fully reimagined, castle-inspired destination featuring newly renovated guestrooms, elevated event spaces, and three vibrant dining outlets. General Responsibilities:

• Ensure banquet rooms are set according to banquet event orders and management specifications.
• Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible).
• Take orders from guests and deliver to appropriate person to execute.
• Review and understand event plan at beginning of each shift.
• Maintain knowledge of all menu items and composition.
• Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
• Ensure that food is prepared correctly and to the guest’s satisfaction; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
• Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal.
• Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies.
• Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures.
• Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked.
• Set tables to standards, and that all items are clean and in good repair.
• Assist with other restaurant tasks such as cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems
• Previous server experience preferred
• Ability to operate point-of-sale system
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently
• Organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work with a team
• Ability to maintain personal hygiene
• Must be able to lift, balance and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds
• Ability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends and holidays

Compensation:
