On-Call Delivery Driver

In this role, you will fill in on home-delivered meal routes as needed. When we need coverage, we’ll call you! You’ll play an important role in helping ensure the seniors in our community continue receiving the nutritious meals they depend on. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to give back- without the commitment of a regular, set schedule.

The Senior Hub–Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County is a large 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving Fairfield County. As the county’s Office on Aging, we provide programs and services that promote health, connection, and independent living for adults age 60 and older.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Deliver meals to individuals in their homes and at congregate meal sites
• Verify accurate meal and delivery counts before beginning each route
• Maintain accurate records using the assigned route tablet
• Perform and document daily safety inspections of the assigned vehicle
• Provide friendly, dependable service to the seniors we serve

REQUIREMENTS

• Willingness to be available for on-call opportunities Monday-Friday
• Minimum of 2 years of driving experience
• 18+ years of age
• Valid Ohio driver’s license, safe driving record, and proof of insurance
