The Community Corrections Department is looking for on-call drug screening technicians. The Department operates its Drug Testing Center 7 days per week and this position will work from 5:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The on-call staff will assist in coverage as determined by the agencys needs with weekends needed. On-call staff may be called upon for immediate needs and/or scheduled in advance.

This position involves the direct observation of female clients participating in a urine drug screening program.

Nature of Work/Examples of Work Performed

This is human service work in a community corrections program performing drug screening work with the responsibility of utilizing various testing methods and reporting the results to the designated parties.

Provides frequent and random on-site and community drug testing, directly observes same-gender client drug testing, sends urine specimens to prescribed laboratory as directed, documents and records data, and follows drug testing procedures and policies at all times.

Minimum Qualifications/Necessary Special Requirements

Qualifications: Graduation from a senior high school or equivalent and some experience with the criminal justice system either in an employed status or as an intern or any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.
