Founded in 2009, Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters is a flourishing and highly respected off-site catering company that produces extraordinary events and exceptional food service across the Bay Area. Additionally, we have 2 cafés located at The Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the historic Winchester Mystery House.
As an Event Server/ Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for setting up and serving meals to patrons at catered events. This is an on-call position. CORE RESPONSABILITIES - Set-up and tear down rooms for catered events, under direction from Event Manager, up to and including tables, chairs, buffet and associated decor
- Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
- Interface with kitchen staff to coordinate regarding meal service
- Garnish and decorate dishes, as well as, buffet before serving
- Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
