Smashing Dishes and Tony Caters seek experienced Event Servers to work on-call for our events throughout the Bay Area. You will collaborate with the Back of House team to ensure clients have a delicious and positive event. This is an on-call position with a pay rate of $25.00/hour plus tips.

ABOUT US 

Founded in 2009, Smashing Dishes/ Tony Caters is a flourishing and highly respected off-site catering company that produces extraordinary events and exceptional food service across the Bay Area. Additionally, we have 2 cafés located at The Tech Interactive Museum in downtown San Jose and at the historic Winchester Mystery House.

As an Event Server/ Attendant, you will be primarily responsible for setting up and serving meals to patrons at catered events. This is an on-call position.

CORE RESPONSABILITIES

• Set-up and tear down rooms for catered events, under direction from Event Manager, up to and including tables, chairs, buffet and associated decor
• Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food and service
• Interface with kitchen staff to coordinate regarding meal service
• Garnish and decorate dishes, as well as, buffet before serving
• Observe diners to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed
