We are looking for responsible, caring individuals to provide safe and reliable transportation for our students. As a substitute, you control your availability, making this a perfect fit for retirees, parents, or anyone seeking supplemental income, and you get summers and holidays off.
Requirements
Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Requires a complete working knowledge and understanding of safe bus driving practices sufficient to recognize problems and take appropriate action. • Requires knowledge of two-way radio operations and proper radiotelephone etiquette. • Requires ability to drive a school bus safely and sufficiently while keeping to well-established schedules. • Requires the ability to use positive reinforcement to maintain calm and order among students both while driving and at bus stops. • Requires a valid California Commercial Class A or B Drivers License, medical examination card, valid California Special Driver Certificate with Passenger P & School Bus S Endorsements, and a valid American Red Cross First Aid Certificate. • Both initial and random drug and alcohol testing are required for and are provided by the District. Driver must maintain negative drug and alcohol test results. • Requires a Department of Motor Vehicles driving record pull authorization provided by the District.
Hours
On-Call as needed Split Shift: 6 a.m.-10 a.m. and 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Note: This is an on-call substitute school bus driver assignment. We do our best to contract work for at least 8 hrs. However, you may only get same-day notice to cover an absence.

Comments and Other Information
Fingerprint and TB clearance will be required as conditions of employment. The filling of this position is contingent on board approval. Must complete Mandated Reporter Training annually.
Please Note: The successful passage of a post-offer pre-employment strength and agility test is required for placement in this position even if the applicant is presently employed by the District in another position.
