ON-CALL UNARMED SECURITY OFFICER – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING

This position is strictly for ON-CALL applicants only. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on client needs, call-offs, special events, and coverage requests. Applicants seeking full-time or part-time guaranteed schedules should apply to the appropriate position instead.

Job Summary

Palisade Defense Security is seeking professional, reliable, and flexible On-Call Unarmed Security Officers to join our team. This position is ideal for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain security experience, or maintain a flexible work schedule.

On-call officers are expected to be available to accept assignments when needed and may be called upon to cover shifts due to employee absences, special events, vacations, emergencies, or new client assignments. Assignments may vary in location, schedule, and duration.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned properties and maintain a visible security presence.
• Monitor entrances and exits to ensure only authorized personnel gain access.
• Observe and report suspicious activities, hazards, or security concerns.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports accurately.
• Monitor surveillance systems and security equipment when assigned.
• Respond professionally to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and client post orders.

Qualifications

• Valid Nevada PILB Unarmed Work Card required.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous security experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation required.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and responsive to scheduling requests.

Schedule Expectations

• On-call only; no guaranteed hours.
• Day, swing, graveyard, weekends, and holidays may be required.
• Availability and flexibility are highly preferred.
• Assignments are offered based on operational needs and client requirements.
