Position Overview
Pacific Office Automation is looking for an Entry-Level Field Network Technician to join our growing service team supporting the Bend, OR area.
This is a field-based role where you'll travel to customer locations to install, troubleshoot, and support network-connected office equipment and related technologies. If you enjoy solving technical problems, working directly with customers, and learning new technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
Troubleshoot network connectivity and device communication issues
Configure and support network-connected office equipment
Diagnose hardware, software, and networking problems
Communicate with customers to identify issues and provide solutions
Work with both technical and non-technical users
Document service activities and communicate updates through phone, email, and written reports
Travel locally to customer locations throughout the service area
What We're Looking For
Understanding of network connectivity, network security, and Wi-Fi environments
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft applications
Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SMB, and network ports
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (must be 21 years or older)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous field service or networking experience (preferred, not required)
Experience supporting Windows desktop operating systems
Experience working with IT professionals or managed network environments
Bonus Qualifications
Familiarity with Mac OS
CompTIA Network+ certification
