Dee Cramer is looking for an On-Site Safety Manager to support safety and compliance operations on assigned construction projects. This position serves as the lead safety representative in the field, working closely with employees, subcontractors, project leadership, and customers to reinforce safe work practices and ensure adherence to company standards, project requirements, and OSHA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
The Site Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and supporting all aspects of project site safety, including:
- Attending project planning, coordination, and safety meetings to communicate safety expectations, address concerns, and assist with successful project execution.
- Performing job site inspections, audits, safety observations, and hazard evaluations to identify risks, verify compliance, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Maintaining accurate safety records, permits, reports, OSHA logs, and other required documentation.
- Reviewing and preparing Daily Task Assessments (DTAs), Pre-Task Assessments (PTAs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and related risk assessment documents.
- Coordinating project-specific permits, approvals, and safety requirements prior to the start of work activities.
- Conducting site-specific safety training, new employee orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety education programs.
- Monitoring employee certifications, training status, and renewal requirements to maintain compliance.
- Tracking weather conditions and communicating emergency procedures, severe weather notifications, and other site-related alerts.
- Acting as the primary site contact for drug and alcohol testing programs and additional compliance initiatives.
- Managing the procurement, inventory, and distribution of personal protective equipment (PPE), and other safety-related supplies.
- Inspecting tools, equipment, safety systems, and work areas to verify safe operating conditions are maintained.
- Monitoring subcontractor safety performance and ensuring compliance with company policies, project requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Investigating incidents, near-miss events, and safety concerns, while coordinating required reporting and corrective action efforts.
- Communicating and collaborating with contractors, customers, project stakeholders, and regulatory agencies regarding safety-related matters.
- Encouraging a positive safety culture through coaching, employee involvement, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Physical Demands
To successfully perform the responsibilities of this role, employees must be able to meet the following physical demands:
- Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Periodically bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work with arms extended overhead.
- Move throughout active construction sites as needed to conduct inspections and support project safety activities.
Travel Requirements
Travel will vary based on project assignment and business needs. Employees may be required to travel for project support, safety audits, training programs, meetings, conferences, and visits to other job site locations.
