    Description

    MAU is hiring an On-Site Safety Trainer in Hendersonville, NC. As an On-Site Safety Trainer, you will provide safety leadership, regulatory training, and workforce development for approximately 80 temporary associates while promoting a strong safety culture. This is a Direct-Hire position.

    Shift Information

    • Full-time
    • Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

    Required Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 1 year of professional training experience

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Associates or Bachelors degree
    • 1+ years of safety training or related training experience
    • 1+ year of forklift operation experience

    Essential Functions

    • Promote safety as the highest priority across all operations
    • Serve as a safety role model for associates and leadership
    • Lead safety discussions during pre-shift meetings
    • Perform a minimum of two SafetyNet inspections each week
    • Conduct weekly safety Gemba walks
    • Utilize Second Obligation practices to maintain a safe work environment
    • Lead or support 4-Step Problem Solving sessions
    • Participate on the MAU at K-C Safety Committee
    • Develop and maintain work standards using Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Create training videos based on established work standards
    • Deliver OSHA-required safety training
    • Conduct Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) Authorized Training
    • Train and certify associates on powered industrial equipment
    • Provide platform-specific safety, GMP, and job-specific training
    • Train and certify employees to established standards
    • Maintain training documentation in SharePoint and Avionté
    • Coach and develop associates to improve performance
    • Assist platform leadership with developing training standards
    • Support site-wide communication of policy updates and operational changes
    • Serve as a witness during attendance, performance, and conduct counseling sessions when required
    • Prepare additional communications as directed by leadership

    Work Environment and Physical Demands

    • Work in both office and manufacturing or warehouse environments
    • Exposure to industrial manufacturing equipment and powered industrial vehicles
    • Environment may include hot, cold, non-climate-controlled, or GMP clean room conditions

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to walk up to 6 miles per day
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

    Travel

    • Occasional travel required
