On-the-Job Training
OJT Construction Derby-Troy VT Pike is seeking a safety-minded, qualified individual to work on our Construction Team as part of the Vermont On-the-Job training (OJT) program. The selected individual will perform a combination of activities under the supervision of a skilled highway construction worker to familiarize them with highway construction. The activities will include but not be limited to:
• Raking • Traffic control • Clean up • Small equipment operation
This position is for 520 hours on the Derby & Troy project.
Classification Seasonal hourly position
What can you expect?
• 22hr to 24hr • Overtime after 8
Requirements
Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment. Must be willing and eager to learn about the construction industry. The willingness to work extended hours with possible night and/or weekend work as well as overnights. The willingness to travel to other Pike locations throughout Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont when needed. A valid drivers license.
