Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced OnBase Developer / Administrator with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on Hyland OnBase experience to support the administration, development, integration, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise OnBase solutions.


The ideal candidate will have strong experience across both OnBase administration and application development, with demonstrated expertise in Workflow development, API/integration development, and preferably WorkView. This position will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and application owners to design, develop, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain secure and reliable OnBase solutions.


Key Responsibilities


OnBase Administration


  • Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the Hyland OnBase platform and related components.
  • Manage OnBase users, user groups, permissions, security configurations, document types, keyword types, queues, and system configuration.
  • Configure and maintain document management, indexing, retrieval, retention, and related functionality.
  • Monitor application performance, identify system issues, and perform root-cause analysis and resolution.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, configuration changes, testing, and deployments.
  • Maintain technical documentation, configuration documentation, SOPs, and change records.
  • Work with infrastructure, database, security, and application teams to maintain system availability and performance.
OnBase Development


  • Design, develop, configure, test, and maintain OnBase Workflow solutions supporting business processes and automation requirements.
  • Develop and enhance workflow rules, actions, queues, notifications, routing, approvals, and exception-handling processes.
  • Develop integrations between OnBase and other enterprise applications using OnBase APIs, web services, REST/SOAP interfaces, Unity API, or other supported integration technologies.
  • Analyze existing workflows and applications and recommend opportunities for automation, optimization, and improved user experience.
  • Perform debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and defect remediation.
  • Develop reusable components and follow established software-development and configuration-management practices.
  • Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and production support.
WorkView / Case Management


Experience with OnBase WorkView is highly desirable. Responsibilities may include:


  • Designing and configuring WorkView applications.
  • Developing classes, attributes, filters, views, relationships, and business rules.
  • Integrating WorkView solutions with OnBase Workflow and external systems.
  • Supporting case-management and business-process automation solutions built using WorkView.
Required Qualifications


  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience working with Hyland OnBase.
  • Strong hands-on experience with OnBase administration and configuration.
  • Strong experience designing and developing OnBase Workflow solutions.
  • Experience developing or supporting integrations using OnBase APIs and web services.
  • Experience with OnBase Configuration and related administrative tools.
  • Understanding of document management, content management, workflow, imaging, indexing, and records-management concepts.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex application, workflow, integration, and configuration issues.
  • Understanding of relational databases and ability to work with SQL/SQL Server for troubleshooting, reporting, or integration activities.
  • Experience working through the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with technical and business teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications


  • Hands-on OnBase WorkView development and configuration experience.
  • Experience with OnBase Unity API and Integration Services.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SOAP/web services, XML, JSON, and enterprise application integrations.
  • Development experience with C#/.NET or related technologies.
  • Experience with OnBase upgrades, migrations, and environment management.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale or highly regulated environments.
  • Hyland OnBase certifications are preferred but not required.
Ideal Candidate


The successful candidate will be more than an OnBase system administrator. We are looking for someone who can operate across the complete OnBase environment—from platform administration and troubleshooting to workflow development, API integration, and application enhancement.


The individual should be comfortable taking business requirements, translating them into technical solutions, developing and configuring those solutions, testing them, and supporting them through production deployment.


This is a remote position. Candidates must have at least five years of relevant hands-on OnBase experience.
