Onboarding Coordinator
Location: Hartford, CT (fully on-site)
Pay: $2224/hour (DOE)
Schedule: 7:30/8:30 AM 3:30/4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
We are seeking a detail and process-oriented driven Onboarding Coordinator to join a high-volume onboarding team. This role is critical in ensuring a smooth transition for new hires from offer acceptance through their first day. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and has proven experience in managing onboarding processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage the onboarding process from post-offer through first day of employment
- Communicate directly with candidates to guide them through onboarding requirements
- Distribute and track onboarding paperwork and ensure timely completion
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements including fingerprinting, drug screening, background checks, and database registry checks
- Enter new hires into HRIS accurately and efficiently
- Partner with hiring managers to confirm start dates and ensure readiness for day one
- Maintain consistent follow-up to ensure all onboarding steps are completed on time
- Handle a high-volume workload with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree plus one year of onboarding experience preferred
- High school diploma or associates degree required with additional relevant experience (2+ years of high volume onboarding experience)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
