Essential Duties
• Record process data, operational adjustments, and write and make updates to standard operating procedures (SOPs) as needed.
• Support onboarding and training activities for new team members, ensuring employees are trained in job responsibilities, safety procedures, GMPs, quality standards and company policies. This would include continuing to facilitate the Strong Start Program.
• Ensures trainers (Buddy’s) are prepared to support new team members and serve as the main contact for new production employees during the onboarding and training period.
• Monitor new employee progress and provide feedback to supervisors/managers and coordinate10, 20, and 30-day check-ins around performance and assist associates and leadership as needed.
• Provide any information or feedback with operations management on any concerns, issues, changes that would impact culture, safety, production, policies or the employee/management relationship.
• Help direct employee questions and concerns to the appropriate Supervisors, Managers or departmental representatives.
• Serve as the main contact for new production employees during the onboarding and training period.
• Track onboarding milestones and maintain accurate documentation which includes training documentation and maintains and updates the new hire monitor.
• Support initiatives to improve employee retention, engagement, in supporting programs like the Golden Duck and employee appreciation events.
• Conduct and assist with orientation sessions, ensuring employees understand company values, culture, and workplace expectations.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production and training needs that may include but not limited to laundry coverage or filling in for other liaisons.
Job Specifications
Experience working in production, training or onboarding roles is preferred. Ability to stay on task with little supervision and may require standing for extended periods, walking and learning the production positions within the plant.

Skills, Abilities, and Education
Education:
High school diploma or GED is preferred. Additional technical training or coursework related to manufacturing, industrial processes, or production operations is preferred.

Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing, food processing, or production environment preferred.

Technology:
Working knowledge of production equipment, manufacturing systems, and standard computer applications preferred or the ability to learn.

Language:
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English. Bi-lingual skills preferred but not mandatory (Spanish, French, Creole, or Burmese preferred but not required)

Working knowledge of manufacturing, processing, and machine operation principles.
Ability to write, read, interpret, and follow SOPs, technical documentation, and production schedules.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Ability to adjust from working independently with little or no supervision or in a team environment.

Working Climate
• Position is a hybrid between office and Production environment.
• Temperature & Conditions: Work is typically performed in cold, refrigerated areas (35–45°F / 1–7°C) to maintain product safety and freshness. Some areas may be wet, humid, or damp due to cleaning and sanitation processes.
• Noise Level: The plant can be moderately to very noisy, with constant operation of machinery, conveyors, and equipment. Hearing protection may be required in certain areas and other required PPE.
• Physical Demands: Employees may stand for long periods, perform repetitive hand or arm movements, and handle poultry products weighing up to 10–50 lbs. depending on the task.
• Protective Equipment: Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, smocks, aprons, hairnets, earplugs, and safety footwear is required.
• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Strict hygiene and food safety standards are maintained. Frequent handwashing and adherence to biosecurity and USDA guidelines are required along with applicable company policies.
• Employees may be exposed to raw poultry, strong cleaning chemicals (with proper training and PPE), and varying odors.
• Team Environment: Work is often performed in close proximity to others on the production line, requiring teamwork, cooperation, and adherence to safety rules.
