We are seeking a dedicated Oncology Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team, providing top-tier patient care in a collaborative and supportive environment. What You Will Do:
As an Oncology Physician, you will see around 12-15 patients daily in a balanced hematology and oncology practice. Your role involves providing expert consultations, collaborating with a small, dedicated team of healthcare professionals, including one other MD and three RN staff members. Youll primarily engage in outpatient care during a Monday through Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a one-hour unpaid lunch. You will work with Epic, our system-wide electronic health record, and participate in hospital consultations, with hospitalists managing overall patient care.
Required Skills:
- Board certification in Oncology or Hematology, or accepted as truly board eligible.
- Minimum of 3 weeks per month available; preference for full-time commitment.
- Strong clinical expertise with excellent patient communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with Epic EMR system.
- Familiarity with hospital consultation processes.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in oncology or hematology.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree with residency in Oncology or Hematology.
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in a similar setting preferred but not mandatory.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality patient care in outpatient or hospital environments.
Other Requirements:
- Initial commitment of at least 6 months or longer.
- Must hold or be eligible for applicable state medical licenses and certifications.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and system onboarding.
