Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Oncology Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team! As an Oncology Chemotherapy Nurse, you will work closely with patients going through major life changes, assist doctors and other nurses in creating a care plan for your patients, and administer medications as directed. You will also be maintaining a clean and sterile medical environment each shift, offering advice and treatment options for medical side effects, and providing positive, compassionate care to every patient. The ideal candidate has previous nursing experience, a gentle approach to the profession, and strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with doctors and other nurses to create or follow an ongoing care plan for each patient in your care
Read patient charts and administer the proper medication
Offer advice and assistance with medication side effects and prior auths for oral medications
Prepare proper equipment for each patient, and maintain a clean and sterile environment
Provide gentle and compassionate care to all patients
Qualifications
Must be a currently licensed Registered Nurse in the state
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with great bedside manner
Strong positive attitude
The ability to work well under pressure
Can uphold the highest confidentiality and integrity standards to preserve patient privacy
