A-Line Staffing is now hiring a Full Time, On-Site, Oncology Nurse in Springfield, IL!

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Oncology/Medical-Surgical unit! This role is ideal for an experienced Med-Surg nurse with oncology exposure who thrives in a fast-paced acute care environment. Chemo/Oncology certification is not required , but prior oncology experience is essential.

This is a night shift position with guaranteed hours, requiring flexibility for on-call coverage and floating to similar units as needed.

Oncology Nurse Compensation

• The pay for this position is $56/hr
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

• Oncology Nurse Responsibilities

  ·         Provide direct patient care to oncology and medical-surgical patients

  ·         Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

  ·         Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols

  ·         Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams (physicians, pharmacists, case management, etc.)

  ·         Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Cerner EMR system

  ·         Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions

  ·         Respond to patient changes in condition and escalate care appropriately

  ·         Ensure adherence to hospital safety standards, infection control, and regulatory guidelines

  ·         Participate in care coordination and continuity of care planning

  ·         Float to comparable units as assigned

  Oncology Nurse Requirements

  ·         Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Illinois required

  ·         Minimum experience in Oncology or Medical-Surgical nursing required

  ·         Oncology/Chemo certification NOT required

  ·         Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

  ·         Experience with Cerner charting preferred/required

  ·         Ability to work night shifts (12-hour shifts, 4x/week)

  ·         Must be comfortable with on-call requirements

  ·         Must be willing to float as needed

  ·         Local candidates accepted
