What You’ll Do

• Provide direct patient care for hematology, medical oncology, BMT, gynecologic, and surgical oncology patients
• Administer medications, including bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation and medication administration
• Monitor patients’ clinical status, responding to changes as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning

What You Need

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• Minimum of 1 year of recent Oncology nursing experience
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Epic electronic medical record system (preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and attention to detail

About the Assignment
You will be part of a specialized 7-bed positive pressure unit for BMT and acute leukemia patients. This unit handles bedside CVC placements, bone marrow biopsies, and complex oncology care. Flexibility to float and weekend coverage are required, making this an excellent opportunity for dedicated Oncology RNs seeking a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
