Experience: Prior Epic experience required, 2+ years of oncology RN experience preferred

Hourly Pay Rate: $60.30/hour

What Youll Do:
Provide specialized oncology nursing care for hematology, medical oncology, and bone marrow transplant patients
Manage bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
Monitor patient vitals and administer medications using barcode medication administration systems
Operate advanced equipment including Alaris IV and feeding pumps, SCD machines
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Respond to emergencies promptly and implement care protocols efficiently
Document patient progress thoroughly and accurately
What You Need: Required:
Valid RN license in Louisiana or eligible for Louisiana licensure
BLS and ACLS certifications
Minimum 2 years of RN experience in oncology or hematology units
Epic EMR system experience
Preferred:
Oncology nursing certification (e.g., OCN)
Experience working in a specialized oncology or transplant unit
About the Assignment:
This assignment involves working in a 7-bed positive pressure unit dedicated to BMT and acute leukemia patients. The unit offers bedside CVC placements and biopsies, utilizing advanced equipment such as barcode medication systems and infusion pumps. Weekend coverage is required on an alternating basis, with a focus on providing comprehensive, high-quality care to complex patient populations.
