What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality care for hematology, oncology, BMT, and surgical oncology patients
• Administer medications, perform bedside procedures including CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system efficiently
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to urgent needs promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies
• Support weekend coverage on a rotating basis as needed

What You Need
Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Epic experience preferred
• Ability to perform bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies

Preferred:

• Experience working in hematology/oncology units
• Strong clinical skills in acute patient management
• Flexibility to participate in emergency response if assigned

The unit features a 7-bed positive pressure wing tailored for BMT and leukemia patients, utilizing advanced equipment like Alaris IV pumps and barcode medication administration systems.
