What Youll Do
Provide high-quality care for hematology, oncology, BMT, and surgical oncology patients
Administer medications, perform bedside procedures including CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
Utilize Epic electronic health record system efficiently
Monitor patient conditions and respond to urgent needs promptly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with safety protocols and hospital policies
Support weekend coverage on a rotating basis as needed
What You Need
Required:
Valid RN license in Louisiana or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications
Epic experience preferred
Ability to perform bedside CVC placements and bone marrow biopsies
Preferred:
Experience working in hematology/oncology units
Strong clinical skills in acute patient management
Flexibility to participate in emergency response if assigned

The unit features a 7-bed positive pressure wing tailored for BMT and leukemia patients, utilizing advanced equipment like Alaris IV pumps and barcode medication administration systems.
