    The Dishwasher's duties include washing soiled plates and glassware thoroughly as well as maintain the overall cleanliness of the back of the house. They may also restock items, unload delivery trucks, help prepare cook stations, clean appliances and machines, empty and clean trash receptacles, and other duties, as needed. To be successful as a Dishwasher, you should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills, and can multi-task. You should be able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting and adhere to all food safety regulations and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensuring the availability of clean dishes by washing dishes, pots, pans, and flatware.
    • Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc.
    • Unloading and storing deliveries if necessary.
    • Sweeping and mopping floors, especially if items are broken or spilled.
    • Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
    • Supporting other restaurant staff members by assisting with other tasks, as needed.
    • Reporting kitchen accidents or violations of food safety codes and procedures.

    Plus other work related tasks as needed

    • Previous experience as a dishwasher, porter, or in a restaurant/kitchen environment is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds for extended periods.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
    • Knowledge of proper sanitation, food safety, and cleaning procedures is a plus.
    • Ability to operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely.
    • Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent attendance record.
    • Strong work ethic and willingness to assist team members as needed.
    • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
    • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently.
    • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
    • Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
    • Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
    • Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
    • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors).
    • Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
    • Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.

    Pay and Benefits:

    $15.00 hour
