Onsite Job: Manufacturing Technician 2 | Oxnard, California, United States Onsite Job: Manufacturing Technician 2 - Oxnard, CA (2nd Shift) About the Role Join Indotronix as a Manufacturing Technician 2 and play a critical role in building components for cutting-edge spacecraft in the Mission Enabling Products (MEP) Business Unit. Located onsite in Oxnard, CA, you'll work hands-on with advanced mechanical assemblies, contributing to products featured on virtually every U.S. satellite built in the last 20 years. This is a 2nd shift, contract position with potential for professional growth in a high-impact, aerospace manufacturing environment. Responsibilities - Assemble and fabricate mechanical components for spacecraft and satellite structures - Set up and test prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions - Assist engineers in developing mechanical/electromechanical designs and test processes - Execute manufacturing operations, including set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing - Handle and manage fragile composite materials with precision - Document material usage, traceability, and control of adhesive materials - Bond composite structures to metallic fittings following strict procedures - Use measurement tools (calipers, rulers, tape measures) for hardware fabrication - Accurately interpret and follow engineering drawings, blueprints, and shop plans - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment - Collaborate and report effectively with team members and other departments Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 2 years of related manufacturing or assembly experience plus high school diploma or GED - Demonstrated mechanical ability and safe hand tool usage - Proficient in reading and following engineering drawings and instructions in English - Comfortable lifting/pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods - Flexible for overtime, different shifts, and demanding production schedules - Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) - Initiative, adaptability, and high motivation for quality work Preferred Skills - Experience in composites or aerospace/space structure manufacturing - Knowledge of ISO standards, compliance, and shop arithmetic - Experience operating cranes, rigging, forklifts, and electronic test equipment (DC power supplies, DMM, Source Meters) - Familiarity with torque concepts Benefits - Competitive pay up to $50/hr - Opportunity to work with advanced aerospace technologies and industry-leading products - Exposure to high-profile satellite and spacecraft projects - Potential for contract extension and long-term growth within a dynamic team - Hands-on environment fostering skill development and cross-functional collaboration How to Apply Ready to advance your manufacturing career in the aerospace industry?
