Location: Baltimore, MD 21240 | Job Type: Contract | Security Clearance: Secret (Preferred) About the Role
Join Indotronix's client, a leading defense and technology innovator, as a Principal Electronics Test Engineer Level 3 in Baltimore, Maryland. This onsite, first-shift position places you at the heart of advanced Surface Mount Technology Manufacturing Cell products, where you'll own the performance and delivery of a diverse suite of RF and digital hardware. Experience daily technical challenges, hands-on problem-solving, and collaborative cross-functional teamwork in a high-exposure, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities - Lead troubleshooting and support of RF and digital hardware, including digital boards and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
- Incorporate advanced testing methods and refine procedures for improved efficiency and accuracy
- Analyze test data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to maximize First Time Through Test Yield (FTTTY)
- Drive root cause analysis for failures and execute robust corrective actions
- Collaborate closely with design engineers to develop and implement hardware enhancements
- Support and mentor technicians in troubleshooting and training initiatives
- Monitor product yields and aggressively maintain program targets
- Present findings, yield issues, and corrective actions at program meetings
- Coordinate with manufacturing management, engineering, and program teams to ensure seamless hardware delivery Required Skills and Experience - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field with minimum 2 years relevant experience, or Master's with related coursework
- Proficient in reading/interpreting specifications, schematics, parts lists, and block diagrams
- Demonstrated experience with digital and RF hardware and software
- Solid working knowledge in RF theory, digital circuit design, and test equipment (DMM, power supplies, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, signal generators)
- Analytical mindset with strong communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office tools Preferred Skills - Advanced STEM degree
- FPGA and JTAG experience
- LabWindows CVI, C/C++, and TestStand programming
- Familiarity with high-speed digital, analog, LVDS, PXI/PXIe, and VME bus
