Onsite Job - Structural Bay Engineering Technician 2 | Chandler, Arizona, United States Onsite Job - Structural Bay Engineering Technician 2 Location: Chandler, AZ | Contract | 1st Shift (9/80A) | $65/hr Max | No Telecommute About the Role Join Indotronix's dynamic Launch Vehicles Division as a Structural Bay Engineering Technician 2. You will play a critical hands-on role supporting our Structural Test Team by assembling, testing, and documenting advanced aerospace hardware. Work onsite in a collaborative, safety-focused environment where your mechanical expertise and teamwork drive mission success. Responsibilities - Support the Structural Test Bay by building, testing, and documenting hardware. - Collaborate closely with technicians and engineers to develop test setups and assemblies. - Apply mechanical aptitude and hand tool proficiency in assembling fixtures and test configurations. - Uphold the highest standards of safety, following all personnel protection and EHS policies. - Respond efficiently to dynamic, fast-changing testing scenarios to meet project timelines. - Contribute to quality, cost, and scheduling objectives. - Assist in design improvements for test setups as needed. - Occasional overtime (<10%) may be required. Required Skills and Experience - High school diploma or equivalent, plus 2 years of additional education or related hands-on experience. - Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and work packages. - Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability. - Proficient with hand tools; capable of handling small parts and heavy components (lift up to 50 lbs). - Effective verbal and written communication skills; team-oriented contributor. - Familiarity with MS Office suite. - Positive, proactive work ethic. Preferred Skills - Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Costpoint, MES systems. - Experience with pressurized hydraulic systems. - Forklift operation and crane/overhead lifting of large heavy objects. - Soldering and instrumentation (strain gage/transducer installation).
