Role Summary

The Onsite Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general maintenance of buildings and grounds at HOA residential communities, under direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and routine maintenance
• Process incoming requests in the system and follow up as needed
• Ensure completion of work orders using work order system
• General maintenance, janitorial and grounds work throughout the Community Associations
• Periodic inspections of grounds, common area buildings and structures
• Advising supervisor of needed repairs, improvements and safety issues
• Understanding of Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Cleaning, Gutters, Locks, Plumbing and Painting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of maintenance experience preferred
• Experience with Carpentry, Concrete, Doors, Drywall, Fencing, Plumbing and Painting required
• Experience with Cleaning, Locks and Gutters highly desired
• Must be able to speak, read and write English. Bilingual a plus
• Must be a proficient problem-solver
• Must know how to use tools, supplies, materials, chemicals in a manner that does not endanger self, other employees, residents, the environment or the public in general
• Experience and skills with simple electric maintenance is a plus, but not necessary
• Pool maintenance experience is a plus, but not necessary
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Ability to climb stairs, ladders, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or reach frequently.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally heavier with assistance.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery safely.
• Visual acuity to inspect equipment, read gauges, and perform detailed tasks.
• Hearing ability to detect alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy environments.
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions (heat, cold, dust, noise, outdoors).
• Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, on-call, and overtime as required.

Pay and Benefits

$22.00 - $25.00 salary per hour (depending on experience)
