In this role, you’ll be the face of our on-site operations—supporting customers, preparing vehicles, and keeping daily rental operations running smoothly. You’ll balance friendly, customer-facing interactions with hands-on, behind-the-scenes work in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate is organized, motivated, and comfortable switching between helping customers and rolling up their sleeves to prep, move, and maintain vehicles.
What You’ll Do
Customer Service & Vehicle Processing
- Greet and assist customers throughout the rental experience, including check-in, vehicle assignment, and returns
- Prepare rental vehicles for drivers by fueling, cleaning, inspecting, and installing telematics and license plates
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety, readiness, and compliance
- Manage and organize vehicle compliance and rental documentation
Operational Support
- Organize and maintain the vehicle lot to ensure efficiency and accessibility
- Coordinate vehicle transportation as needed
- Complete daily rental operations tasks accurately and on time
- Report vehicle issues, operational challenges, and system bugs to the designated point of contact
Standards & Communication
- Deliver excellent customer service while upholding company service standards
- Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site staff and remote support teams
- Provide concise updates and maintain accurate records and documentation
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Outgoing and comfortable engaging with customers, while also able to work independently and stay focused on physical tasks
- Enjoys hands-on work and being on their feet throughout the day
- Prior experience working with vehicles, car detailing, outdoor work, or similar environments is a plus
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
- 1+ year of experience in an in-person customer service role (retail, hospitality, technical support, or similar)
- Familiarity with the local market area
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, solve problems, and de-escalate situations calmly
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and collaborate with a team
- Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to handle physical demands, including prolonged standing, walking, and moving vehicles
Benefits
Pay Rate = $19 per hour
Part-time: 10+ hours per week
Assignment length = 8-week contract
