Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Bloom Clinic, Developmental Follow-up. In this role, you will provide individualized therapy services to children of various developmental, physical and emotional challenges, promoting their growth and development in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess children's needs and develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.
Implement therapeutic interventions that enhance children's motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills
Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
Educate families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to reinforce skills in home and community settings
Collaborate with other health care professionals, educators, and community resources to support children's overall development.
Travel to 6 outlying developmental clinics to provide therapeutic evaluations, treatment plans and education to children and families waiting for outpatient OT in rural communities.
Position Qualification:
Required Qualifications:
Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
Current Tennessee state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical or educational setting
Strong understanding of developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques for children
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
