Position Summary:

Pediatric Occupational Therapist Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Bloom Clinic, Developmental Follow-up. In this role, you will provide individualized therapy services to children of various developmental, physical and emotional challenges, promoting their growth and development in a nurturing and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess children's needs and develop customized treatment plans in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Implement therapeutic interventions that enhance children's motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living skills

  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

  • Educate families on therapeutic techniques and strategies to reinforce skills in home and community settings

  • Collaborate with other health care professionals, educators, and community resources to support children's overall development.

  • Travel to 6 outlying developmental clinics to provide therapeutic evaluations, treatment plans and education to children and families waiting for outpatient OT in rural communities.

Position Qualification:

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.

  • Current Tennessee state licensure as an Occupational Therapist

  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a clinical or educational setting

  • Strong understanding of developmental milestones and therapeutic techniques for children

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with children and families.
