We are seeking an experienced OpCon Workload Automation Administrator / Batch Operations Specialist with a minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise batch operations and workload automation environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with OpCon Workload Automation, batch scheduling, job dependencies, Unix/Linux shell scripting, production support, incident management, SQL, AWS cloud resources, and PostgreSQL RDS. The candidate will be responsible for designing, configuring, monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting mission-critical batch workflows across legacy, distributed, and cloud-hosted application environments.
Design, configure, schedule, manage, and support mission-critical batch workflows using OpCon Workload Automation.
Build, maintain, monitor, and execute 200+ production batch jobs and associated workflows.
Configure complex job dependencies, schedules, calendars, sequences, and batch execution workflows.
Organize jobs into structured and manageable OpCon schedules.
Oversee OpCon development and configuration activities across environments.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain the OpCon Workload Automation platform.
Manage versioning and perform import/export of job configurations between development, test, and production environments.
Coordinate with the OpCon product vendor for patches, upgrades, technical issues, and product-related troubleshooting.
Develop and maintain Unix/Linux shell scripts to support batch job execution and automation.
Monitor batch cycles and troubleshoot job failures, exit codes, dependency issues, and scheduling problems.
Coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and functional teams to resolve batch failures and production issues.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and assist development teams with batch framework debugging and issue resolution.
Performance-tune batch jobs and workflows to improve reliability and execution efficiency.
Configure batch monitoring dashboards, alerts, notifications, and failure monitoring based on job exit codes.
Manage production incidents and escalations using Azure DevOps.
Document issue resolution procedures and contribute to knowledge base articles and support documentation.
Create and maintain batch process enhancement/change request documentation, including effort estimates.
Manage OpCon user accounts, roles, permissions, and security settings.
Perform system administration activities including shell scripting, process monitoring, debugging, and system troubleshooting.
Write and execute simple to complex SQL queries for batch support, validation, and troubleshooting.
Support AWS cloud environments, including AWS PostgreSQL RDS and related AWS resources.
Configure and maintain Splunk indexes to support SFTP monitoring and improve visibility into batch cycles through web-based dashboards.
Prepare and distribute daily batch execution status reports to clients and project stakeholders.
Publish daily production batch status and communicate exceptions, failures, and recovery activities.

Extensive hands-on experience with OpCon Workload Automation / SMA OpCon.
Strong experience designing, configuring, scheduling, and supporting complex batch workflows.
Experience managing job dependencies, schedules, calendars, sequences, and mission-critical batch cycles.
Experience supporting batch environments across legacy, distributed, and cloud-hosted applications.
Hands-on experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining OpCon.
Experience with OpCon versioning and configuration migration, including importing/exporting jobs between environments.
Experience coordinating with software vendors for patching, upgrades, and product-related issues.
Strong Unix/Linux shell scripting experience, including Bash/KSH or similar scripting technologies.
Experience troubleshooting batch failures, job dependencies, exit codes, and production issues.
Experience configuring batch monitoring dashboards, alerts, and notifications.
Hands-on experience with production support and incident management.
Experience using Azure DevOps for incident tracking, escalation, documentation, and knowledge management.
Strong SQL skills, including writing queries for troubleshooting and data validation.
Experience with AWS PostgreSQL RDS and AWS cloud resources.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate with application, infrastructure, database, and business teams.
