    Responsibilities

    • Instructs technical training sessions in both in-person and online environments, as well as monitoring independent study platforms. Provides technical and/or logistical support to learners and develops curriculum to support training sessions.
    • Supports program alignment with ASCENT and university objectives. Builds and maintains strong relationships with trainers, campus partners, and external stakeholders to strengthen workforce training and professional development initiatives.
    • Develops course content, manages participant registration, distribution of course materials, attendance tracking, and post-program reporting. Coordinates schedules and ensures smooth delivery of training events. Collects and summarizes feedback to support data-driven program improvement.
    • Responsible for assisting in the development of course content (including curriculum development) for non-credit opportunities. Manages instructional materials, training supplies, and provides operational support, ensuring compliance with university policies, budgetary procedures, and reporting requirements. Participates in continuous improvement and professional development activities.
    • Contributes to program outreach and marketing through digital communication, community events, and social media. Collaborates on the development of promotional materials and recruitment strategies to expand program reach as well as foster alignment with other ASCENT departments. Assists with K-12 curriculum development and trains the trainer for non-credit opportunities.
    • Maintains OPEL/ASCENT technology in conjunction with FSU ITS.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelors degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience working in a training environment.
    • Master's degree in a technology related field.
