Job Overview:
Pay Range: $55.00hr - $60.00hr
Requirement/Must Have:
- Strong proficiency in Java (Java 8 or higher).
- Hands-on experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Security).
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Familiarity with OpenAPI/Swagger for API design and documentation.
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and API data formats.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and open standards (e.g., OpenAPI/Swagger).
- Build scalable backend services using frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, or similar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain API documentation using OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications.
- Ensure APIs are secure, well-tested, and follow best practices in authentication and authorization (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
- Optimize application performance and scalability.
- Integrate APIs with third-party services, microservices, and enterprise systems.
- Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following coding standards.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and debugging to ensure code quality.
- Participate in CI/CD processes and contribute to deployment pipelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with API gateways (Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, etc.).
- Familiarity with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Understanding of database technologies (SQL/NoSQL such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Exposure to performance tuning and monitoring tools.
- Certification in Java or cloud technologies is a plus.
