    About the role

    Drive a flatbed tractor-trailer across assigned routes, delivering freight with precision, safety, and timeliness. You’ll secure loads, perform inspections, navigate city streets and country roads, and communicate with dispatch to keep freight moving without a hitch.

    Core responsibilities

    • Safely operate flatbed tractor-trailers on designated routes, following all traffic laws and safety practices.
    • Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, covering brakes, lights, tires, and load securement.
    • Execute route driving with punctuality and care across urban and rural environments.
    • Handle specialized freight such as refrigerated goods or tankers with attention to product integrity.
    • Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding schedules, load progress, and any issues.
    • Keep accurate, DOT-compliant logs of driving hours, inspections, load information, and delivery documentation.

    Qualifications

    • CDL-A and proven truck driving experience; flatbed hauling experience REQUIRED.
    • Demonstrated skill in strapping/unstrapping and properly securing loads is REQUIRED.
    • Experience running routes across varied terrain with an emphasis on safety and efficiency.
    • Knowledge of freight handling methods for different cargo types and securement on flatbeds or other trailers.
    • Strong grasp of DOT regulations for commercial driving and vehicle upkeep.
    • Track record of reliability, on-time performance, and excellent customer service.
