Position Description Summary: The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, an independent non-profit academic clinical practice group affiliated with The George Washington University, is seeking to fill full-time faculty positions in Glaucoma. The Department of Ophthalmology is part of a growing academic health center located in the heart of a world-class, vibrant metropolitan area with its cultural, family, and educational opportunities.

Appointment rank: Instructor, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Full Professor. Salary will be commensurate with experience. Expected to start as early as summer 2026.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Responsibilities include delivering excellent patient care, teaching residents and medical students, and conducting high-quality research.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must be board-certified or board-eligible in Ophthalmology and fellowship-trained in glaucoma.
• Applicants must also be eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia by the time of appointment.

Advertised Salary: $300,000 to $400,000.
