    The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences is seeking an attending psychiatrist for our Division of Behavioral Health Consultation and Integration, suitable for appointment at the rank of Assistant, Associate or full Professor. The successful candidate can take full advantage of opportunities available in our vibrant and active academic community.

    As an attending psychiatrist in the UNM Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences' Behavioral Health Consultation and Integration Division, the person selected will have a voice in developing the Division's direction as well as opportunities for multicultural clinical care and scholarly and collaborative research activities across the Health Sciences campus. There are many opportunities for professional development in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoring and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in related disciplines.

    We are eager to put together the right package for an individual with a passion for consultation liaison psychiatry. Salary is commensurate with experience and academic background.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Doctorate Degree, MD or equivalent;
    • Board certified or eligible in Consultation Liaison Psychiatry; OR
    • Consultation Liaison Psychiatry clinical experience, minimum 5 years;
    • Licensable in New Mexico;
    • Must be eligible to work in the United States.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Teaching experience with graduate students, fellows, residents and/or medical students;
    • Clinical leadership experience in an academic setting.
    • A demonstrated commitment to cultivate an understanding of the rich and varied cultures of New Mexico and to the success of the university''s mission to serve local and global communities
