The University of Kansas School of Business seeks applicants for an open rank Professor in Entrepreneurship. The search is open at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels with an emphasis on Associate and Full Professors. Appointment at a particular level will be based on an applicant’s scholarly and teaching record. The position is a full-time, academic year, tenure-track or tenured faculty beginning August 18, 2027.

This position will interact with students, faculty, the KU entrepreneurship ecosystem, and the broader international academic entrepreneurship community through research, teaching, and service. We encourage individuals who desire to make an impactful and sustained contribution to entrepreneurship, innovation, and related fields to apply and join a vibrant research community with Vince Barker, Chang Hoon Oh, Jun Ho Lee, Todd Hall, Lindsey Yonish, Jun Park, Clint Chadwick, Brian Anderson, Beth Embry, Kaushik Gala, Pat Downes, Nate Meikle, Patty Dahm, Niki den Nieuwenboer, and Jill Ellingson (Area Director). Management faculty routinely publish in top journals in strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, and management, serve as editors and on editorial boards, and supervise a robust doctoral program.

KU’s excellence is a result of the rich tapestry of experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds of our faculty, staff, students, and colleagues from across our nation and the globe.  At KU, we invest in continuous learning and growth by creating a climate where people engage in respectful dialogue and debate and support each other’s success.  We foster a culture of care where each person is seen, heard and valued.  When people feel a true sense of belonging, we believe they are better able to reach their full potential and achieve remarkable things.

The successful candidate must be eligible to work in the U.S. by the effective date of the appointment. Any employment with the University of Kansas is contingent upon satisfactory completion of a background check.

This position is subject to a collective bargaining agreement between The University of Kansas and United Academics, that UAKU is the exclusive representative for the bargaining unit, and that it is their right to be a member or not be a member of a union without fear of personal or professional repercussions.
